The subsequent verses talk about dealing with the creation, particularly those we are “seemingly better” than in terms of wordly possessions. It helps you attain a higher level of tawakkul and hopefully, a stronger relationship with the Creator. You are mindful of all the times He came through for you and the blessings He bestowed upon you. It can always be worse, someone always has it harder than you do but you find solace knowing that your Lord will not forsake you. You view life with a new lens altogether and realise that life and everything in it is a test. When you internalise and reflect on these verses, they help you undergo a paradigm shift and by extension to embrace the “Alhamdulilah ala kulli haal” mentality. “Did He not find you as an orphan then sheltered you? Did He not find you unguided then guided you? And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs?” When the Rasool (PBUH) was filled with doubt, Allah revealed these verses to him, reminding him of the times He came through for him particularly with guidance, sustenance and protection. Surah Duhaa is one of the most optimistic Surahs of the Qur’an. Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
